If you were referred to this page, you like came across something odd while communicating with ChX. This page will help you understanding.

To anyone out there who feels insulted or angry by chx, I'd be willing to bet that if your actions reflected that making Drupal better is as important to you as your own specific needs, you'd likely get a completely different reaction, and be able to see why so many of us love chx and consider him a wonderful friend.

The right way

So, ChX is a Drupal contributor and in general likes everyone who is also contributing. If you want to see his better side, try "I would like to review a patch, where should I look?". It might be a bit old, but it never goes out of fashion. Writing a test, a bugfix, a handbook page, showing some great usability idea are all welcome.

Note that the answer you get might be quite a bit terse. Munch on it a bit before asking further.

Also, Googling before asking is never a bad idea. Quite the contrary.

To avoid

Demanding things to be done or done in a certain way is almost guaranteed to be rewarded by hostility. Asking and asking and asking questions for days or weeks will gain you a "help vampire" title and as a consequence, eventual kickban from #drupal.
