Raising the bus factor

I have my hands in many parts of Drupal and for some time now I make concious effort to make sure things would go fine if I disappear or something. Not that I want to leave the Drupal project, not at all, but you never know what happens.

When JonBob left Drupal, we had serious troubles handling the menu system -- I ended up rewriting it. However, pwolanin provided significant assistance and now he is the maintainer of it and the system is documented rather well in a conscious effort to let anyone else take over in case of need. I had a significant role in form API but eaton was a co-maintainer since long and as an issue committed yesterday shows, now frando and merlinofchaos are now able to get structural changes in. I have worked on the testing system but there are a lot of people, at least boombatower, Damien Tournoud and dmitrig01 who know the system inside out. Damien is also listed as one of the maintainers of the SQLite driver. Finally, I am the group contact towards freenode but the Drupal IRC channels since 2008 October list 'drupalircowner' as their founder and this user's password has been sent to Dries, amazon, Gerhard Killesreiter and webchick.

Now this post first scared the hell out of me. But after completely reading and thinking about it, it makes perfectly sense and also opens up the door for you to go ahead and dive into other parts of Drupal (or not).

You being able to do so is a very good sign that our developer community (for core) is intact. I wish it was the same with contrib...

Anyway, thank you!
